John and Joséphine created an eclectic collection and it was their wish that the public always had access to it.
This collections search allows you to delve into the rich and diverse Museum collections, its reference library and archive material. Visitors to the Museum can see many of the objects on display, but there are many more behind the scenes which you can uncover through this comprehensive search facility.
We are constantly updating and adding images to our online collections, adding information about newly acquired objects, and adding catalogue entries in the library and archive. To begin searching our collections, library and archive click on the image below of the 18th century Japenese porcelain tiger. This search gives you access to the diverse collection of objects and artefacts, which is different from the site search which appears at the top right hand corner of each page.
