Green and Pleasant Landscapes


 

Explore the history of landscape painting from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century and try your hand at creating your own masterpiece using watercolour paints or pastels. 

 

Great inspiration and lots of opportunity to draw. Some children indicated they would like more time to visit the museum at a later date.

10.00 - 11.30 Children have a tour of the landscape paintings in the gallery and sketch their favourite.
11.30 - 12.30 Lunch (a room is provided)
12.30 - 2.00 Children create a watercolour landscape painting.
2.00 Silver Swan performance (optional)
2.15 Depart museum
