A hands-on workshop looking at toys throughout the ages, followed by a practical activity making your own peg doll.

Session Plan


10.00 - 11.30 Children visit the toy gallery for a guided tour before sketching their favourite toy. The children also have the opportunity to play with a variety of toys which encourage them to talk about the different materials they are made from and how they move.
11.30 - 12.30 Lunch (a room is provided)
12.30 - 2.00 Children design and make a peg doll to take back to school.
2.00 Silver Swan performance (optional)
2.15 Depart museum
