Learn about the lifestyle of a wealthy Victorian through an exciting guided tour of the Museum. Look at and sketch real Victorian artefacts before trying to write with a slate and pencil or a dippy pen! 

 

Learning has been brought to life. They've also learnt about things that we didn't have chance to cover in school.

Session Plan


10.00 - 11.30 Children will learn about the lifestyle of a wealthy Victorian through an exciting guided tour of the Museum. The children will then see some handling objects linked to Victorian schooling before having a go writing with a dippy pen!
11.30 - 12.30 Lunch (a room is provided)
12.30 - 2.00 Children will try a basic printing technique
2.00 Silver Swan performance (optional)
2.15 Depart museum
