Readings and Reflections over Coffee

25 March, 10.45 – 12.30, Free event

Come for a coffee and to hear short presentations on volunteers’ own research as part of the first three years of The Bowes Museum’s WW1 Project and if you have a story related to your family and the War, we would be delighted to hear it on the day.

As we reach the end of the third year of the Project, the presentations will include short examples from volunteers who have taken part in research online and in original documents, in adding names and information to the Roll of Honour database, written stories for the media and developed their own areas of interest.

The morning is also an opportunity to launch the work of three Northumbria University students, who achieved funding from their university to produce their personal responses to the Project through words, drawings, objects and landscape.  They will be reading extracts of their own prose and poetry.
