Job Description – Casual Waiting Staff
Responsible to: Restaurant Supervisor
Hours: Due to the nature of the business we cannot offer any minimum hours.
Wage: Dependant on experience / will exceed minimum wage.
Job Purpose: To assist in all aspects of operation of the catering service.
To maintain a customer friendly service at all times.
To assist in the smooth day-to-day running of Café Bowes and any other catering operations to suit the business needs.
To serve customers and help to deal with any enquiriesthey may have.
To process customer orders and take payments using the till system.
To wait on tables, clean and remove litter, and to keep the front-of-house area clean as possible at all times.
To help put deliveries away in storage areas and rotate stock.
To assist in stock takes when and as required.
To assist in the operation of the kitchen, to include general cleaning, operating the dishwashing machine, maintaining hygiene standards, and the occasional preparation of sandwich and snacks.
To assist in set ups for functions and events as directed by the Café Supervisor / Chef
In addition to the above duties the postholder may be asked to undertake other duties.
