Having recently been completely refurbished, the acclaimed Café Bowes is a superb place to spoil yourself, either whilst visiting the museum or simply as a stand alone dining destination. 

Cafe Bowes serves high quality fare, featuring, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. We are renowned for our homemade cakes and scones, and friendly efficient service.  In addition to our lunchtime menu, breakfast and Afternoon Tea is available. The menu can be viewed here.

Open everyday from 10.00 to 4.30. Closed only 25, 26 December and 1 January.

Entrance to Cafe Bowes is free of charge - you do not need to be a paying visitor to the museum.
