Small-Long Brooch

This cast copper alloy small-long brooch has a square-shaped head plate and a slightly pointed foot plate. in the centre of the head and foot plates is a ring-and-dot design. Around the edge of the plates, there is simple punched decoration. On the back of the head plate, some mineralised textile survives. This was excavated from 'Grave 7' in Easington Anglo-Saxon cemetery. The sex of the person in this grave is unknown.
