Battleaxe

This axe may have been used for chopping or fighting, and was perhaps a symbol of power. Made of stone, it has been worked to a narrow blade on one end and is oval in section. It shows signs of wear and also looks as if it may have been caught up in farm machinery. It was found in the Tow Law area.
