Eggleston Urn

A large bucket urn from the late Bronze Age. It is brown on the outside, light brown/grey inside, and there are large grit pieces showing through the surface. There is some possible decoration, but this is very faint and may not have been deliberate. With the urn were small fragments of bone and tooth; the cremated remains of a 5 - 6 year old child. It is not known whether the child was a girl or a boy, or how and why they died.
