Sailing Vessel Stranded

The Ketch 'Lizzie' stranded on Longscar rocks in 1890. This was a common occurrence, in 1861 more than 60 ships were stranded or wrecked around Seaton. It was said you could walk over the beach on the debris without touching the sand.
