Statue: Figure of the Winged Victory
A carved white marble figure of the Winged Victory, after the antique. The draped torso stands on a rectangular white marble base with the right leg much in advance of the left. The right shoulder is bare, the bust and left shoulder are draped and the drapery of the lower half of the figure fails as is blown backwards, it billows behind the upper left leg. The wings are half-spread above and behind the torso and the feathers of the under surface are strongly carved.
