Pair of Tongs
Possibly for sugar; in the form of a stork whose feet are mounted on oval rings which form the handles of the tongs, one rests on a simulated storks foot. The whole is pivoted or hinged at the storks head, its beak forming the tongs. The body splitting in two when the tongs are opened to reveal a baby in each half of the opened body, one baby in swaddling clothes, the other, in coat and hat. The body of the stork is cast and lightly chased and the eyes inset with turquoise. Size: Length - 11 cm.
