Vegetable Dish and Cover, 1808
Circular vegetable dish with shell and acanthus leaf gadrooned border into which fits a high domed cover decorated above the rim with a broad band of bold flutes. The top of the dome accommodates a border of detachable and bold beadwork which forms the edge to the central plateau from which springs out of a ducal coronet a plume of eight ostrich feathers issuant a falcon rising forming a handle. Size: Height: 27.5 cm
