Candlestick
Part of a pair of candlesticks. Raised on a high domed foot which terminates in an octagonal rim and formed into two rounded steps richly with a meander of flowers, foliage and fruit, the rim with formal decoration with leaves. The column of each candlestick is in the form of a baroque twist flaring at the top into a shallow bowl shaped form into which fits a detachable candlesocket and drip pan. The candlestick is raised on four claw and ball feet, the claw being silver and the ball feet silver gilt. Size: Height: 40.2 cm
