Women's Purse

Small purse with an extension band at the top for a pair of drawstrings, reinforced by two small strips of brass. Embroidered only in chain stitch in cottons and a little gilt thread of insects perched on trees or spray of flowers. The insects' bodies worked separately and padded and applied. The drawstrings are of blue cord and have elaborate flat plaited ornaments of cord at the ends. Size: 12.5 x 8.7 cm.
