Furnishing Fabric
Warp-faced weave with silk warps and cotton wefts brocaded in coloured silks, chenille and gold metal thread. The design is of large pale gold arabesques with some flower and leaf shapes and scrolls, and superimposed on this a design of trails, unches and leaves of roses, convolvulus, grapes and other plants, widely spaced, in vivid fluffy silks and chenilles, with silver highlights, shocking pink predominating. Loom width 54 cm
