Lidded Goblet
Turned wooden standing cup with fine-carving and chased decoration, the main cup containing a nest of 89 turned cups of finest gauge with similar chased decoration. The circular base carries six inset medallions of darker wood and the stem is carved and pierced roundels with the centre section carrying a number of plain-turned rings. A pierced, fretted gallery holds up the bucket-shaped main cup, which is turned from the solid and carries bands of decorated, and the almost flat cover completes the cup.
