Box
Box of pearwood, the sides and top carved with panels of acanthus scrolls, the lid design centring on a basket of flowers within a quatrefoil. The box is raised on four flattened bun feet. It shows a narrow flaring base and a similar cornice, both carved with upright leaf decoration. Two strap hinges, with fleur-de-lys finials, are in blued steel. The box is fitted with a lock, the shaped escutcheon of brass.
