Cresting

Carved giltwood cresting with a pair of half-figure putti supporting a thorn-crowned, flaming heart beneath a coronet, and surrounded by scrolled foliage. The cresting shows one iron tang at the bottom, for attachment to frame. An iron ring at the back would allow attachment to wall if frame was canted forward and thus not resting firmly on frame.
