Panel: 'Rape of Europa'

Oak relief carved with an integral arcaded frame, within a later frame of lighter oak. The scene probably depicts the Rape of Europa: a female figure rides on a garlanded ox and carries a banner; she is followed by two other maidens, one who is holding the train of Europa's garment, and another who carries a piece of fruit. There are hills in the background and the sun and crescent moon at the top left corner.
