Signet Ring

Signet ring, possibly for a thumb. The ring is made of a circle or band of silver gilt, broadening slightly at the shoulders, where it is fitted with a deep oval of silver gilt.  Set at the front with a rectangular section of cornelian, with canted corners. The cornelian is engraved in reverse with a coat of arms. Size: Diameter: 3.1 cm.
