Hard-paste porcelain, painted in enamel colours and gilt

Marks: the ewer with the factory mark (interlaced ‘L’s under a crown) and painter’s mark ‘gt’ (for Etienne-Jean Grémont ) in blackish purple enclosing the date letter ‘Z’ (for 1777) and gilder¹s mark ‘B’ ( possibly for Louis Barbé) in reddish brown; the basin with the same marks all in a mixed reddish brown
Height of Ewer: 24.7 cm: Length of Basin: 36.4 cm; Width of Basin: 27 cm
