Vase and Cover
Vase is of pear shaped form raised on a high circular foot, then narrows towards a cylindrical neck, has on either side a ram's mask handle. One either side of the vase is a scene, on one side a man and a woman and two children in a woodland, and the other, a young man teaching a girl to play a musical instrument watched by an attendant holding a staff. At their feet are two sheep and behind them a lioness amidst a background of trees. The cover is domed and moulded with spiral flutes edged in gilt and moulded and applied with flowers and foliage, these surmounted by a cartouche supported by cherubs and backed by branches of palm, and in the centre, a coat of arms. The whole cover surmounted by a Royal crown. Size: Height: 76 cm.
