Box
Rectangular box with hinged lid. The sides and lid inlaid with panels of formal diaper marquetry in brass, stained holly or ebony, tulipwood and quatrefoil sections of brass. Each panel is crossbanded in kingwood. The whole is veneered upon a mahogany base. The lock plate inside is inscribed 'TAHAN fourneur de l'Empereur'.
