Night Clock
Night clock in bronzed cast-iron, the watch movement stamped "E.G.Zimmerman, Frankfurt A/M". The clock is in the form of a monstrance, the base, stem and dial surround cast with naturalistic leaves, branch and ivy trails. The dial is of overlay red glass, cut through with minute markings and Roman hour numerals. The cut hands are gilt-metal. Behind the clock an adjustable bracket can hold a nightlight to shine through the dial, hence its being named a night clock.
