Silver-cased verge watch signed Etienne Boisson, with enamelled back. The case is domed front and back, with double glasses, the frames plainly moulded, the pendant small, the bow circular. On the back the convex glass covers a convex enamel plaque of Diana with a bow and a dog, this plaque held by a gilt-metal bezel decorated with roundels. The front hinges at the left over a silver champleve dial. The chapter ring is set eccentrically, shows Roman hour numerals and Arabic numbers. The base is engraved with the maker's name, above a false pendulum aperture. The hands, of gilt-metal show rococo scrolls.
