Mantel Clock
Mantel clock of white, grey and black marble and gilt-bronze, in the form of a triumphal arch. The clock dial is signed Harel a Paris and Coteau. A Louis Michel Harel or Harder is recorded in The Cloitre St. Dennis de la Chartre in 1753. Coteau was the most celebrated dial enameller of the time, usually producing designs with decorative swags of flowers between the numerals. Purchased with the assistance of MLA/V&A Purchase Grant Fund. Size: Height: 57 cm; Width: 37 cm; Depth 12 cm.
