Silver pair-cased quarter repeating verge watch by Thomas Johnson of Richmond, Middlesex. The outer case is domed at the back, the edge of this and the frame to the front convex glass pierced and chased with panels of rococo scrolls between small cartouches with rococo motifs, the centre of the back with a repousse panel within an asymmetric scrolled frame, showing two classically-draped figures in a landscape. The dial is of white enamel with black Roman hour numbers, minute band and Arabic numerals for the five-minute intervals.
