Silver pair-cased verge watch, the inner case hallmarked for London, 1791-2 with the marker's mark '- J', who is as yet unidentified. The brass backplate is engraved 'Gilbertson / NEWCASTLE'. Sarah Gibertson, John Gibertson's widow, is recorded as still working in Newcastle after 1750.
