Shaped pelmet board moulded in relief in putty and set with mica chips and glass beads, the design composed of scrolls, mock swags and lambrequins, centreing on a mask, the whole supported on an oak ground reinforced with battens. Attributed to the workshop of Johann Michael van Selow.
Glass beadwork on putty is waterproof and this pelmet may have been intended for use in a grotto.
