Chair
Part of a pair of light chairs, carved and painted beech wood, part of a bedroom suite with bed (FW.372), armchairs (FW.374a&b) and small sofa (canape) (FW.373). The suite was re-painted and re-upholstered using glazed floral print cotton for Josephine Bowes's bedroom at her Louveciennes home by the Paris firm of Monbro for 160 francs in 1855 or 1856.
