Armchair
A giltwood armchair, with upholstery of canvas work embroidery in a floral design. The chair, one of a set of four, was re-gilded, sprung and reupholstered by Monbro fils aine Paris, around 1855, for John and Josephine Bowes, using 18th century embroideries not originally intended for these chairs. The chair bears Monbro's stamp. Size: Height: 95 cm; Width: 70 cm; Depth: 57 cm.
