Armchair
Armchair, from a larger set of dining-chairs, of mahogany with a drop-in-seat upholstered in black horsehair, the ledge under the seat stamped at front left P. BUCHANAN. Seat frame also stamped and incised. Square-sectioned sabre legs at the back, rising into serpentine, back-curving uprights; the front legs are turned. The top and centre back rail are veneered with flame-figured mahogany. The square-sectioned down-curving serpentine arms rest on turned supports.
