Overmantel and Chimneypiece
Carved oak overmantel fitted with a modern stone. The overmantel is supported on each side by two corinthian pilasters. The lowest frieze is of formal flowers and scrolls, then three panels, divided by paired carved balusters, and at the top a strapwork frieze has, at either end, acanthus brackets. The stone chimneypiece was made in 1909 to match the original oak overmantel. Size: Overmantel: Height: 280 cm; Width: 147 cm; Fireplace: Height: 148 cm; Width: 160 cm
