Chair
Part of a pair of walnut single chairs. Carved walnut frame, the seat upholstery modern. The back legs are simply turned above a Spanish foot. The front legs are shallow cariole with shoe feet, and small scrolls carved inside the knee. The H-stretchers are shaped. The back has straight sides, shapes top and bottom, the top centring on an acanthus cresting. The whole of the back is a single broad panel of cane-work.
