Console Table

Console table, in carved and gilded wood with modern marbled top. The front scrolled legs end in fantastic caryatids, goats heads and trunks with the wings of eagles. A detached, pierced scrolling forms a breastplate. The legs are joined by scrolled stretchers to a central carved and pierced shell at the back of the table. The apron is decorated all over with shallow diaper work and has applied, carved scrollings, with a bacchic mask in the centre. At the front corners small rectangular pieces project to cover the goats' heads.
