Netting winder

This machine was probablydesigned for making netting, although exactly how it worked remains a mystery.
The edges of the piece are decorated with oyster marquetry made from dyed olive wood. Thin slices of olive branch wood were cut, creating a circular pattern. The sap wood has retained the dye longer than the heart of the wood.
