Card table

This card table is veneered in kingwood, and decorated with floral marquetry and gilt-bronze mounts. The marquetry includes both stained and sand burnt woods.
The table top, here closed, has a central panel of floral marquetry. It opens to reveal a stamped velvet surface surrounded by floral and trellis marquetry. A compartment beneath stores cards and counters.
