Box

Small domed box of pine covered with brown leather stamped in gold. The box has a shallowly domed lid. The top and side panels are blind stamped with a trellised pattern, the edges stamped in gold with bands of scallops and small flowers, in gold. An iron lock plate and hasp is on the centre front. The box is lined with reports of parliamentary debates in 1790, the paper spotted regularly in a pattern.
