Table Cabinet

This table cabinet is decorated with geometrical straw marquetry. Individual lengths of straw have been stained, cut to size, and glued to the carcase of the table cabinet, following a geometrical pattern. The back of the piece has a particularly bold design.
Straw marquetry is naturally very delicate, and it is unlikely that this piece was produced with heavy use in mind.
