Armchair
Part of a pair of armchairs have frames of carved mahogany and modern upholstery in an 18th century style. Each chair is stamped 'W.F.'. Other stamped examples are known, the initials at one time linked to the well-known cabinet maker William France, but there is no documentary evidence for such a link. Stylistically, these chairs are very similar in form of those produced by the Master Cabinet maker Giles Grendey (1693-1780).
