Cupboard

Walnut cupboard, with carved decoration and inlay of black marble. The designs of the four panels are the Four Elements - Air, Fire, Water and Earth, following engravings by Heinrich Goltzius (1558-1616) This detail, Water and Earth are shown as women, with the traditional attributes of a flowing urn and a cornucopia with fruit. Height of cupboard: 222 cm.
