Part of the cabaret set or ‘verre d’eau’, 1872
This set was specially commissioned by Joséphine Bowes after the London International Exhibition of 1871, engraved with lace and insects in the style of the bonbonnière she had already bought.
Gallé’s correspondence [shown in an adjacent case] contains some of his earlier known writings and view on art.
