Candlestick

Part of a pair of candlesticks evoke Roman columns that celebrated military victories. Four chariots are pulled upwards by pairs of winged, beaked griffins, and driven by winged putti over scrolling waves. The neo-classical decoration includes torches and serpents. The upper part is decorated with spiral lines with griffins, lyres, flowers and scrolls of foliage. Size: Height: 35 cm; Diameter of base: 8 cm.
