Persephone Books publishes neglected classic fiction and non-fiction by women, for women and about women. Their beautifully produced dove grey paperbacks are sought by readers across the world and are great finds for reading groups and book lovers alike. Join publisher Nicola Beauman as she introduces classic books from the collection, talks about how Persephone came into being and introduces you to a host of new authors that you’ll be glad to discover. The ticket price includes tea and scones.

Tickets £12.50 and £10 for Festival Friends and Friends of The Bowes Museum available from the Gala Theatre, or can be collected from The Museum on the day.
