The Friends of The Bowes Museum offer free introductory tours which last between 45 minutes and one
hour. Please book two weeks in advance to ensure availability.
Specialist Lectures & Gallery Talks
The Bowes Museum has a team of Curators and Conservators responsible for exhibiting and preserving
different aspects of the Collections. The dedicated members of staff are available to give Lectures or
Gallery Talks on their specialist subject and on some exhibitions which they have curated. These are
charged on an hourly basis of £60, and are available Monday to Friday. Maximum numbers in a group for a
Gallery Talk is 20. To ensure availability please book Lectures and Gallery Talks as early as possible.
