Café Bowes

Café Bowes is being re-decorated 13 - 18 May. A reduced offer of refreshments will be available  in the Jubilee Room during this time.

The acclaimed Café Bowes is a superb place to spoil yourself, either whilst visiting the Museum or simply as a stand alone dining destination.

Café Bowes serves high quality fare, featuring, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. We are renowned for our homemade cakes and scones, and friendly efficient service.  In addition to our lunchtime menu, breakfast and afternoon tea are available. The menu can be viewed here.

Please keep an eye on the website or in the local press for special occasion lunches and dinners. Such as celebrating Mother's Day with an extra special lunch.

Open everyday from 10.00 to 4.30. Closed only 25, 26 December and 1 January.

Entrance to Cafe Bowes is free of charge - you do not need to be a paying visitor to the Museum.
