One hundred and thirty one youngsters from five Teesdale Primary Schools have taken part in a day of musical celebration at The Bowes Museum.
The children from Butterknowle, Cockfield, Evenwood, Ramshaw and Woodland visited Norman Cornish: The Definitive Collection and worked with different specialist artists, partially funded by Arts Council England, to produce, what will become, a soundscape for the exhibition.
They then performed their work in the Blue Picture Gallery for visitors to enjoy.
The day also marked the beginning of a wider community project funded by Teesdale Area Action Partnership and Northern Heartlands.
