Please note that admission costs have increased as of 1 April 2026. Membership offers best value for money with unlimited admission for 12 months so you can explore our galleries, see our changing exhibitions and enjoy our varied programme of events.

As a registered charity, we have a Gift Aid scheme that allows the museum to reclaim tax on donations if you are a UK tax payer.  Gift Aid means your admission is worth 25% more to us and makes a big difference in helping  to keep The Bowes Museum open and in supporting our exhibitions, events and community programmes.

DAY TICKETS

There’s no need to book day tickets in advance, just head to the Welcome Desk upon arrival. We are open seven days a week (excluding 25 and 26 December and 1 January).

• There’s a choice of two day admission tickets, one day ticket costs £20 without Gift Aid and the other day ticket option costs £22 with Gift Aid.
